Description

Each fairy was cast in a natural bronze alloy.

The sculptures are pinned into a piece of amethyst quartz geode mounted on a custom fabricated honey onyx base.

When I imagined this work I thought it could act as a fine accent piece on a mantle or other similar location. The fairies, by being identical yet different, show that things can be equal but not the same.

The work is made by hand. The amethyst adds a unique perspective to the work.

The white bronze includes 58% copper, 1% lead and various amounts of manganese, zinc and aluminum. The yellow brass has 63% copper, 1% lead, and various amounts of zinc and tin. The natural bronze contains 90% copper with tin.
