Hatsune Miku is shown in her swimsuit riding on a toy killer whale. I cast this figure because it is so very unique and different.

I have cast Miku’s signature pigtails in a shiny yellow brass. I have left them in a natural metal color because they are so beautiful.

Her whale was cast in white bronze. The black is an enamel applied to the metal. Miku’s swimsuit is colored with a green enamel.

Miku is not attached to her whale. She can removed.

The complete work has been mounted on a custom made octagonal granite base.

Description

Miku on Whale contains 1.4 kg of bronze, fully cast and assembled. Her whale weighs more than 360 grams. Due to her size I soldered a solid brass 1/4 inch rod into the whale for mounting the figure. The complete weight on granite is 2.6 kilograms.

Miku was cast in an ancient bronze alloy that is copper and tin. Her hair has been cast in a yellow brass alloy. She has been coloured with a heat cured decorative enamel that is virtually equivalent to hard-fired enamel. The whale was cast in a white bronze alloy.

The white bronze includes 58% copper, 1% lead and various amounts of manganese, zinc and aluminum. The natural bronze is 90% copper with tin. The yellow brass has 63% copper, 1% lead, and various amounts of zinc and tin.
