Lilith

$1,400.00

Lilith is a she-demon who was purportedly the first wife of Adam. According to legend she was banished from the Garden of Eden for not complying with and obeying Adam.

I cast Lilith with a second head and thought to set her in a macabre pose. Although not specifically related to Halloween, the pumpkins do seem to fit the scene.

One pumpkin can be lit with a tea light set inside.

Description

Lilith, a she-demon from Babylon times, is cast in a natural bronze alloy of copper and tin. Yellow brass was used for her boots and wings and hat.

Both pumpkins were cast in yellow brass.

Lilith is sitting on a tree stump cast in silicon bronze that was darkened with a liver of sulphur patina.

The sculpture is mounted on a walnut base.
